Mail Art

For the past 20 years Paul Smith has been receiving an avalanche of odd and quirky unwrapped objects, ‘Mail art’ if you will. They have all been sent by a mystery person, at least we think they are all from the same person!

Over the years, the corridors of our head office have gradually become cluttered, with the samples we decided to frame for prosperity. Recently independent film maker Ben Wrigley decided to document the collection and in his words – “Takes us on a ‘Magical Mystery Tour’ in and out of Paul Smith’s ‘fashion factory’, as we discover the secret behind his endless inspiration”

We thought we would share a teaser from this short film with you, along with some examples of the letters and oddities we get to enjoy everyday.
